New York-based luxury fur outwear and ready-to-wear label, Brandon Sun will debut at Tranoï New York with a collection that amplifies the signature cool girl aesthetic in a display of slick hardware, punk inspired studding, and insouciant furs. Entitled “Mnemosyne”, the collection finds inspiration amongst the post-punk influenced subcultures of London during the 1970s. Iconic rock bands, such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, and their motivation are resoundingly parallel to our own disaffected youth. “Mnemosyne” rebels against normalcy – it is the insistence of individuality and independence. Brandon Sun captures this through a collage of mink – shredded, printed, and deconstructed; luxurious navy dyed Russian sable; ultra cozy merino shearling and silky lamb fur. The uniquely singular approach to fur by Brandon Sun is the translation of intellectually avant-garde concepts into tangible pieces for real life.
