TRANOÏ is thrilled to announce its collaboration with 2016 ANDAM Fashion Award winner Johanna Senyk, founder and designer of the brand WANDA NYLON, for the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2017 edition of TRANOÏ Paris: Women’s.
Senyk has been chosen by TRANOÏ as its first collaborator for its inaugural CURATED BY project; a new initiative that offers the opportunity for a designer to be given ‘carte blanche’ to the Cité de la Mode et du Design venue for the duration of TRANOÏ Paris: Women’s.
As part of the project, TRANOÏ will be the presenting partner for the Spring/ Summer 2017 runway presentation of WANDA NYLON, held on the official schedule of Paris Fashion Week, at Cité de la Mode et du Design.
WANDA NYLON will also present an on-site installation and ‘take-over’ the artistic identity and the signage of the iconic, contemporary venue.
For both TRANOÏ and Senyk, the collaboration is an obvious one:
“For years, TRANOÏ has collaborated with designers and artists that are at the forefront of the creative climate. Designers such as Rick Owens, Acne Studios, Dries van Noten, Manish Arora and Bernhard Wilhelm have all lent their talents to the identity of the TRANOÏ trade show. We’re thrilled that Johanna has accepted to be the latest designer to collaborate with our team.” said David Hadida, CEO of TRANOÏ.
“I know what Armand and Martine Hadida have contributed to fashion and to designers over the many years of TRANOÏ. We are delighted to be guests of the season and to be given carte blanche to fill Cité de la Mode et du Design with the themes of our SS17 collection.” said Johanna Senyk, founder of WANDA NYLON.
Launched in 2012, WANDA NYLON is a designer label based in Paris. The brand has made a name for itself by elevating rainwear classics, giving them a contemporary spin and proposing statement silhouettes, and by the constant research for innovative fabrics as well as the creation of cutting-edge designs. The WANDA NYLON style draws a pure outline both strong and modern; the attitude is free-spirited yet sophisticated, allowing the woman to feel empowered, confident and charismatic.
Modern, avant-garde and creative; with the CURATED BY project, TRANOÏ establishes its position as the unmissable rendezvous of Paris Fashion Week.
