It all began in Vienna, where Reinhard Plank, through the curious eyes of a young Industrial Design student, explored the deep connection between humans and objects, and the complex interaction between people.
His research led to the creation of everyday objects that tell delicate connections, such as a thin glass casing for roses that protects both the flower and the hand from the thorns, creating an encounter of vulnerability and care. His research did not stop in Vienna. In Spain, Reinhard discovered a new dimension that deeply enriched his work: craftsmanship. A wicker mattress, created during his stay in Villoruela, a small village near Salamanca, encapsulates this transition, where the marks of an absent body emerge from the surface, transforming the emptiness into a presence.
