About True to its avant-garde vision, Tranoï reinvents the event landscape with Tranoï Showcase, an innovative concept paving the way for a new era of unique and tailor-made events. The idea? To offer brands and creators the freedom to imagine their own event, whether it’s a one-hour fashion show, a one-day presentation, or a completely unprecedented concept. Tranoï Showcase takes care of everything: production, scenography, promotion, public relations... all powered by Tranoï's extensive international networks, regardless of the city or country.

The goal is clear: to highlight international creative talents and collectives by providing them with a stage worthy of their vision. And to serve creators by designing impactful and unique experiences. The inaugural TRANOI SHOWCASE will take place on January 23 at the Palais Brongniart, 2025, featuring, for the first time in France, the presentation of ten Japanese winners from the prestigious Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo (NFDT) and Sustainable Fashion Design Award (SFDA) competitions, in partnership with the Tokyo city government.

By supporting these emerging talents, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to provide these young designers with an international platform to connect with key industry players.

The awardees will have the opportunity to present their avant-garde and sustainable collections, ranging from textile innovation to the recycling of traditional kimonos, to an audience of fashion professionals. This fashion show serves as a cultural bridge between Paris and Tokyo, underscoring the importance of supporting the new generation of designers in their global development.

aresamakoresama

Award: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Excellence Award

This brand was born from a conversation I had with a friend about how women’s clothing often lacks pockets. We create items that are not only stylish but can also be enjoyed as accessories. I want this brand to be one that transcends seasons and genders, allowing for exploration and growth in my creative process alongside evolution in my personal development.

HIKARI TAKAYAMA

Awards: The 96th Soen Award: Special Jury Award Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Grand Prize (Free Category)

The concept of the show is "Clarté - 光明" In Japanese, this concept is expressed with the word Komyo. It represents a bright light that illuminates the darkness, symbolizing hope and the promise of positive prospects in times of adversity. We live in a modern society where various thoughts and perspectives are intertwined. Even so, we find rays of light and hope that help us move forward with strength. My approach to fashion tries to express this sentiment. For me, creating clothing is about interpreting history and customs while crafting a future that feels both nostalgic and culturally rich. My vision is to build a brand that emphasizes thoughtful material choices and “natural” forms born from these materials. I aim to carry forward Japanese culture and techniques, refining Japan’s unique character and individualit.

JiJi

Award: Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Excellence Award (Free Category)

The word “jiji” in Chinese refers to the sound of a small bird chirping. I grew up in Kobe, a bustling port city in Hyogo known for its trade connections. Now living in Tokyo, I find myself reminiscing about my memories of attending an elementary school with a view of the sea. My alma mater eventually closed and now stands transformed into an aquarium. Inspired by this, I wish to preserve the memory of my school in a different form. I remember a comment made by my teacher, “Clothes should embody happiness. No one wants to wear clothes made from negative emotions.” I resonated deeply with those words and wish to keep them in mind as I continue my journey in clothing creation. I pay close attention to the production background, striving to create clothing with a sense of responsibility as a member of society. This commitment represents both a challenge and a goal for me as I move forward.

JUN KAWAMOTO

Award: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Excellence Award

I base my creations on abstract paintings inspired by nature. The comfort found in nature’s constantly shifting cycle driven by elements such as temperature, humidity, light, and wind, resembles the fleeting, melancholic beauty of a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Through my work, I aspire to express the natural beauty I have experienced and the imaginative world that resides within it. I aspire to create designs that gradually gain depth through careful attention to a single concept, technique, and material. By deepening our connections with society, I believe we can mutually develop and support one another. I aim to foster empathy in my craftsmanship through the expansion of creativity, the continuity and evolution of techniques, and the energy that arises from valuing people’s lives.

kenta nakajima

Award: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Excellence Award

My brand’s concept for this collection is “Emotion”. I have crafted pieces that approach fashion from a three-dimensional perspective, drawing inspiration from “Kidoairaku”, the full range of human emotions: joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. The overall styling mainly focuses on shirts and the things that set them apart from other pieces of clothing. Many are the distinctive features, from the silhouette of the shoulders and waist to the material of the collars...

KOOKABURRA

Award: Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo: Grand Prize ( Inclusive Design Category)

As a designer, I aim to stand between industry and craft. I want to express what I believe is good with both strength and delicacy. Through this collection I want us to “move forward as living creatures”. It began when I took inspiration from the shape and ecology of the baobab. I was also inspired by the instinctive enjoyment that we perceive as humans when we see colors and lines becoming forms” and the direct link between form and function in design. Approached from both angles, “modern clothing” is completed. I believe that fashion can serve as a catalyst from diverse perspectives. Through the art of garment creation, I seek to explore how we can engage with the world. I aspire to uncover the distinctive ways of communicating and expressing that fashion can foster.

mea

Award: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Excellence Award (Wear Category)

Like a cat, embracing whims and remaining true to oneself. I present designs that emphasize unique materials and silhouettes, bringing a touch of monochrome to everyday life. To be selfish like a cat, untainted just as you are. I develop unique designs pursuing materials and silhouettes. Neutral colors for everyday life. I have designed this collection so that even neutral colors, which are easily restricted by TPO, can be perceived as individuality. My wish for this collection is that at least one piece leaves a mark in your memory. .

NEW YOTA

Awards: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Awards, Grand Prize
The 97th Soen Award: Finalist selected by Kunihiko Morinaga NEW YOTA proposes a new type of fashion to hide one’s individuality in order to attract one’s identity. It offers self-love and self-respect through fashion for modern individuals who may struggle with low self-esteem and self-affirmation. In this collection, we showcase what we want people to convey and feel through fashion.

After releasing the AW 25-26 collection, NEW YOTA plans to relocate its base of operations to Milan, Italy. We will continue to create with all our hearts and souls, working toward the goal of “building a new world where all kinds of people can enjoy fashion freely, regardless of gender, age, or body type, and where individuals can develop healthy self-esteem and self-affirmation.

N❍tsuki

Awards: Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo: Excellence Award (Inclusive Design Category) Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo: Encouragement Award (Inclusive Design Category)

In this collection, I am inspired by the concepts of spider webs and shibari (binding) to pursue “the comfort and beauty that emerge from constraints.” Just as the moon shines brighter through the presence of others, I aim to create designs that radiate different lights based on the values and experiences of those who see and wear them. I hope that through encountering my designs, you will experience a moment of newfound brilliance. I continue to explore designs that reflect diverse perspectives and sensations, radiating a variety of brilliance. Like the moon reflects sunlight, I aim for my work to generate value through its connections with others. While embracing imperfection, I will always strive to maintain a mindset of continuous evolution as I progress.

SoMe

Award: Sustainable Fashion Design Award: The Tokyo Governor’s Award, Grand Prize (Fashion Items Category)

My goal is to create clothing that enriches the heart. I believe that quality clothing can inspire confidence and joy simply by being worn. The theme for this collection is “Fairy Tale”, connecting to timeless stories that have given hope and dreams to people throughout the ages. I aim to present pieces that evoke the same sense of inspiration and hope for those who wear my creations.
